Dieselgate: Volkswagen pays 226 million in compensation in the UK

Volkswagen has agreed to pay £ 193m (€ 226m) to more than 90,000 British motorists to settle the UK dieselgate litigation. Owners of diesel vehicles from the German group, including models from VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda, took legal action seven years ago following revelations regarding the emissions testing scandal. The group said the out-of-court settlement will provide a separate contribution to legal costs.
