BERLIN – A historic trial against the Remmos began yesterday in Dresden. The six scions of the Turkish-Lebanese clan are accused of having organized the spectacular robbery of the jewels of the Dresden Castle in November 2019. Value of the stolen goods, currently unavailable: over 118 million euros. Chieftain Issa, father of the six defendants in his early twenties, is famous for the eagle of Germany tattooed on his chest, a vague resemblance to Robert Redford, a kilometer-long criminal record and a tendency to insult police and politicians.
