Ecuador, 5.8 magnitude earthquake 300 km from Quito

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred at 00.30 (Italian time) in the southern part of Ecuador, 300 km from the capital Quito. The news was announced by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.
The epicenter was located in the Pajonal area, with the hypocenter at a depth of 93 km.
