Egypt: Alaa Abdel Fattah, the best-known dissident, in court today

CAIRO – The best known Egyptian political activist, Alaa Abdel Fattah, together with the blogger Mohammed Ibrahim “Oxygen” and to the lawyer Mohammed al Baqer, they should appear in a Cairo court today. Alaa has been in jail for two years. He had been arrested on other occasions and had been at the forefront of protesters of the president’s old regime Hosni Mubarak, prompting the 2011 uprising which led to the resignation of the old raìs.
