Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Bek Indonesian National Team Elkan Baggott returned to appear as a starter and carry Bristol Rovers won in the continuation of the League One match, Saturday (13/4) evening Indonesian time.

Baggott was the backstop in Bristol’s defense along with James Wilson when Bristol visited Cheltenham Town’s headquarters at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

Bristol scored a 1-0 win over Cheltenham. The Gas squad’s goal was scored by former Chelsea and Manchester City player Scott Sinclair in the 12th minute using Luke Thomas’ pass.

Bristol had a chance to score from the penalty spot in the 34th minute, but Antony Evans’ execution failed to result in a goal.

Baggott and friends celebrated the second goal after 11 minutes of the second half through Brandon Aguilera.

Entering the 72nd minute, Bristol had a chance through Evans’ free kick which was met by Baggott’s header, but the ball hit the goal frame.

The player who has played for the Indonesian national team 22 times actually scored a goal in the 77th minute. This time Baggott didn’t waste Harvey Vale’s corner kick and made it 3-0.

At the end of the match Liam Sercombe scored a goal for Cheltenham. Bristol took home a 3-1 win over Cheltenham which kept them firmly in mid-table. Meanwhile Cheltenham is in the relegation zone.

This victory is the first for Bristol after last winning in early March.

This is also the first time Baggott has appeared after missing five consecutive matches. Previously Baggott last played almost a month ago when Bristol lost 0-5 to Lincoln City.

Baggott played 90 minutes in the away match against Cheltenham. What’s interesting is that the home side was also strengthened by Baggott last season.

Before loaning Baggott to Bristol this season, Ipswich Town first gave Baggott the opportunity to show his abilities at Cheltenham. With Cheltenham, Baggott only played once.

Meanwhile, now in the Bristol uniform, Baggott has gained more trust. This 21 year old player has played 11 times with Bristol and scored two goals.
