According to the Securities Times, on August 9, local time, the European Commission announced that it had provided 4 billion euros in pre-financing to Greece. This amount accounts for 13% of the total loans and grants allocated by Greece in accordance with the European Union’s economic recovery plan. Greece has therefore become one of the first countries to receive EU pre-financing. According to the plan, Greece will receive 30.5 billion euros of financial support from the European Union, including 17.8 billion euros in grants and 12.7 billion euros in loans.
