LONDON – For a quarter of a century, fans have not been able to stand in English stadiums: all the Premier League and Championship facilities, the equivalent of our Serie B, have been transformed after the Hillsborough tragedy of 1989, when due to overcrowding cornering, on whose stands there were only standing places, 96 people died during the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, in what remains the worst tragedy in sport in this country.
