Farmers’ protest and the Greens: What happened in Biberach

The images went up and down the media: farmers in protest mode, agitated police officers, tumult, a canceled event. The analysts are just as quick to get there; Some see farmers as radical criminals, while others see the law enforcement officers as responsible.

One day after the protest (February 14) in Biberach an der Riß, questions remain unanswered. Why has the situation on the streets escalated? Who organized the actions? Who did violence come from? Was the police action proportionate? And: Did the Greens’ political Ash Wednesday have to be canceled? Was there really a security risk?

We have in the editorial office agricultural today watched the videos from Biberach closely and spoke to participants in the demonstration. The result is a picture that is not that clear.
