Fear of migrants: half of Europeans are in favor of walls

ROME – Confused, frightened, divided: it is the image of Europe in the face of the phenomenon of large migratory flows. Where almost half of the citizens imagine building walls to defend themselves from illegal foreigners and a large majority – from north to south, from west to east of the continent – believe that the level of immigration is “too high” in their respective countries (and in the European Union as a whole).
