Flix – global tech mobility operator – recorded total turnover growth of 30% in 2023, reaching an annual turnover of 2 billion euros for the first time. The company thus exceeded initial growth expectations (+25%).

Last year, more than 81 million people traveled to over 5,600 destinations with FlixBus, FlixTrain, Greyhound and Kamil Koç services, an increase of 34% compared to 2022. Additionally, Flix achieved an adjusted EBITDA of 104 million euros, with an increase of 97 million over 2022 and an Adjusted EBITDA margin of 5.2%.

In 2023, Flix recorded strong operational and financial performance across all segments, including FlixBus and FlixTrain, Kamil Koç in Turkey and Greyhound in North America.

In Europe, Flix recorded revenue growth of 46% for a total of 1,186 million euros. This growth was driven by the strong increase in passenger traffic (+41% over 2022), with 55 million people transported on the continent. In 2023, Flix launched the first connections in Finland and Greece, bringing the FlixBus service to even more European countries.

In the United States, Canada and Mexico, 12 million people used FlixBus and Greyhound services in 2023, an increase over 2022 of approximately 36%. In this segment, turnover grew by 11% for a total of 615 million euros thanks also to the definitive integration of Greyhound into the Flix booking system, which facilitated access to a broad integrated offer of travel services. intercity buses.

In Turkey, 14 million people traveled with Flix in 2023 (+8% compared to 2022), generating a total turnover of 189 million euros (+15% compared to 2022).

With the launch of the FlixBus service in Chile in October, which marked one of the most successful debuts for the company, Flix also consolidated its presence in South America in 2023. Additionally, Flix expanded its route network in Brazil, adding 35 new cities to its national network, including Salvador and Fortaleza.

In February 2024 the FlixBus service also debuted in India, the second largest market for bus travel in the world[1]. The company currently operates 200 daily connections to and from 46 cities, including Delhi, Lucknow, Jodhpur and Varanasi, and already plans to launch new connections by expanding its offer to the southern area of ​​the country.
