Found in Switzerland Mia, the girl kidnapped in France

PARIS. After six days of searching, Mia Montemaggi, the eight-year-old girl kidnapped on Tuesday in Les Poulieres in eastern France, was found this morning by investigators in an occupied house in the town of Sainte-Croix, Switzerland. This is what the television broadcaster “Bfmtv” reports. At the request of the French prosecutor of Nancy, the investigations were carried out by the Swiss federal police and the cantonal police of Vaud, under the authority of the public prosecutor of Friborg. Two French gendarmes also followed
investigations with their Swiss colleagues. In total, nearly 200 gendarmes were mobilized under this
investigation.

In recent days, the French police have arrested in the Parisian region of Ile-de-France
four people suspected of having carried out the kidnapping, which took place without acts of violence while the child was at the home of the maternal grandmother to whom she had been placed in foster care. Three of these people, who have no criminal record, would be members of the survivalist movement, whose members are preparing for major catastrophic events that could affect society or the environment.

The television station “Bfm” reports that the investigators have discovered some speeches of the kidnappers in which violent actions were evoked, such as that of blowing up vaccination centers. Upon questioning, the men claimed to have kidnapped Mia at the request of her 28-year-old mother, Lola Montemaggi, who had lost custody of her daughter. According to the French media, the woman was also close to
conspiracy movements. The French prosecutor, Nicolas Heitz, explained that Mia’s mother was violent and had tried to take her daughter away from school in the past. Lola Montemaggi was arrested the same day the three kidnappers accused her of having
organized the kidnapping.
