From a clerical church to a synodal church

The 74th General Assembly of the Italian Bishops’ Conference opens this afternoon with a speech by the Pope at the Ergife Palace Hotel in Rome on the theme: “Proclaiming the Gospel in a time of rebirth? To start a synodal journey ”. The Assembly, scheduled until Thursday 27 May, actually opens the synodal journey requested of the Italian Church by Francis himself.
