After Steven John Ward last December, another pirate arrives in Turin. The international guest of honor of the XXVIII edition of Torino Comics, scheduled from 12 to 14 April at Lingotto Fiere, it is indeed the British actor Peter Gadiotinterpreter of the character of Shanks in the famous TV series One Piece.

Born in 1985 in East Grinstead, south London, Gadiot made his big screen debut in 2010, playing Stephen Moore in the film 13Hrs. In the same year he appeared in the role of Tory Falconi in the TV series My Spy Family. He became famous in 2013 for the role of Cyrus in the ABC TV series Once upon a time in Wonderland, and then became, in 2016, one of the main characters of the series Queen of the South.

In the universe of One Piecethe very famous manga (which later also became an anime and, in 2023, a live action TV series) created by the Japanese Eiichirō Oda – Shanks is the captain of the Red Pirates and one of the four emperors, that is, one of the four strongest pirates in the world. He has lost his left arm in a fight against a sea king to save Luffy. She also has three scars over her left eye and wears an unbuttoned white shirt, a black cloak, trousers with a floral pattern and sandals.

Peter Gadiot brings to the screen an irresistible charisma and a talent that captures the essence of the character in a masterful way. He also recently appeared in the second season of the science fiction series Quantum Leap, playing the role of Tom Westfall.

The actor will be present at Lingotto Fiere Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April and will be available to the public for autograph, photo and dedication sessions; he is also the protagonist of two conferences on the main stage, one per day. Alongside her on stage Renato Novara, the Italian voice actor who voices him in the One Piece series.

Torino Comics is an event organized by Just for fun in joint venture with GL events Italia – Lingotto Fiere. The patron of the event is Vittorio Pavesio.
