From “Withdrawing funds from the police” to “Law and Order”: thus security has become the winning electoral weapon in the US

NEW YORK – A year ago the African American nurse and activist India Walton, 38, mother of four, paraded the streets of Buffalo, New York, holding up signs asking for funds to be withdrawn from the police. Now, as a candidate for the leadership of the city, with the possibility of becoming America’s first socialist mayor, Walton is counting on the support of the police.
