(Fighting New Coronary Pneumonia) Germany has newly diagnosed more than 5,000 new cases for two consecutive days, making the United States a high-risk area

China News Agency, Berlin, August 13 (Reporter Peng Dawei) The German disease control agency announced on the 13th that the number of newly diagnosed new coronavirus cases was 5578, which has exceeded 5,000 for two consecutive days. As the number of newly confirmed cases in the United States, Turkey and Israel has risen, the German government announced that the three countries have been listed as high-risk areas for the new crown.

On June 15th local time, as the new crown epidemic in Germany further stabilized, many federal states further promoted the “unblocking” and relaxed the previously adopted epidemic prevention measures.

The German disease control agency Robert Koch Institute announced that the number of newly diagnosed infections and the number of new deaths were 5578 and 19 respectively. The cumulative number of confirmed cases was 3810641 and the cumulative number of deaths was 91,853. The country’s official COVID-19 incidence index (the cumulative number of new diagnoses per 100,000 people in seven days), which is officially used to monitor the severity of the epidemic, further rebounded to 30.1 that day. Up to now, Germany has received 96.9 million doses of the vaccine, and a total of 47,048,937 people have been fully vaccinated, accounting for 56.6% of the country’s total population.

The German Federal Government announced on the same day that, taking into account the rise in the number of confirmed cases of new crowns in the United States, Turkey and Israel, the three countries have been listed as high-risk areas for new crowns. Among them, the relevant travel restrictions on the United States and Israel will take effect on the 15th of this month, and the restrictions on Turkey will take effect on the 17th. The entry into force on the 15th also includes Kenya, Montenegro, Vietnam, French Guiana and French Polynesia and other countries and regions.

According to the current epidemic prevention measures implemented by the German authorities, travelers from high-risk areas who have been fully vaccinated against the new crown virus or have recovered after being infected with the new crown virus can be exempted from quarantine. Those who do not meet one of these two conditions must quarantine themselves after arriving in Germany. If the COVID-19 test result is negative on the fifth day of quarantine, the quarantine can be terminated early. (Finish)
