Germany, the Greens choose Annalena Baerbock as chancellor candidate

by admin

Annalena Baerbock is the candidate for the Chancellery of the German Greens. This was announced by the co-leader of the German environmentalist party, Robert Habeck, in a live video in which he is joined by Baerbock herself. “I have always considered power, as something in which we grow together and do not fight against each other, in the sign of a political ideal,” said Habeck.

“I am convinced that this country needs a new start. The simple visual navigation we have seen so far is no longer enough: I want to offer a policy that knows how to look ahead and that dares new things. A policy that knows how to make difficult decisions, but that remains human and empathetic, that knows how to listen to citizens, ”said Baerbock, who has just been nominated as a candidate for the Chancellery of the German Greens.

“We want to look to the future and move forward together, not just with Robert Habeck or the Greens, but as a society as a whole,” added the 40-year-old, who has led the party together with Habeck since 2018.
