ODESSA – Alice is safe but there is no joy in her eyes. After two months spent in the dark underbelly of the Azovstal, the Russian occupiers yesterday allowed its evacuation along with the last 40 civilians who were hiding in the Mariupol steel plant. And yet, Alice’s is a half-fulfilled wish. The little girl, in the video shot with a mobile phone and circulated on April 17 by the fighters of the Azov Regiment, had not specified that her mother was also to be evacuated with her.
