Manchester City achieved a 2-0 victory over Everton thanks to two goals Erling Haaland. This victory brought City to displace Liverpool at the top of the standings.

City, which had difficulty breaking down Everton’s defense, finally broke the deadlock in the 71st minute with Haaland’s shot. The Norwegian striker scored his second goal in the 85th minute.

Even though they were in control of the game, City had difficulty breaking down Everton’s defense. Until 20 minutes into the match, City had not yet fired a shot.

City built an attack from the left side through Jeremy Doku. Doku tried to pass a pass towards the front of goal, but the ball was cut off by Jarrad Branthwaite.

Doku is again a source of threat for City. This time he was able to penetrate the Everton defense and deliver a cross. Erling Haaland headed the ball, but it still bounced over the goal.

Haaland doubled City’s lead in the 85th minute. From the counter-attack, Haaland received a through ball from De Bruyne and then beat Jordan Pickford.

Everton managed to break into City’s goal with Beto’s shot which beat Ederson at the near post. However, the goal was disallowed because Beto was caught offside first.
