Hawaii, 6.3 magnitude earthquake: there is no tsunami risk

Two earthquakes, of magnitude 6.1 and 6.2, were recorded off the Hawaiian Islands, south of the Big Island. This was announced by the US Geological Survey, explaining that the first earthquake occurred about 17 miles south of the southern tip of the Big Island. A second earthquake, of magnitude 6.2, occurred about 20 minutes later in the same area. Nearly two thousand residents who reported having felt the earthquake, as reported by USA Today. No injuries were reported. The Honolulu National Weather Service said there is no tsunami threat from the earthquakes.
