Around two thousand Colorados went to Salgado Filho Airport to welcome Colombian Rafael Borré, Internacional’s new reinforcement. The player arrived in Porto Alegre on Tuesday afternoon (5) and has already posed for a photo wearing his new club’s shirt. While waiting for the arrival of the new number 19, the fans celebrated, complete with a band, flares and smoke.

“Hello, hello there, Borré is coming and he’s going to get it,” the fans sang.

In fact, before meeting the fans, Borré spoke for the first time as an Internacional player.

“Hello, Colorado fans. Well, I’m already in Porto Alegre, ready to see you. I want to send you a big hug and thank you for your kindness. Let’s go Inter”, said the Colombian.

To count on Borré, Internacional will have to pay 6.2 million euros (R$33.2 million at current prices) to Frankfurt, Germany, in three annual installments. This is the second biggest purchase in Inter’s history. Thus, the player will sign with Colorado, which will retain 80% of the striker’s economic rights, until the end of 2028.

The expectation is that he will make his debut against Nova Iguaçu, on March 13, in the Copa do Brasil. In fact, it is worth highlighting that he cannot play for Gaúchão, as the registration phase has already passed.
