According to Xinhua News Agency, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Census and Statistics Department released external merchandise trade statistics on the 25th, showing that in October 2021, the value of Hong Kong’s overall exports and imports increased by 21.4% and 17.7% year-on-year respectively.

Statistics show that in the first 10 months of 2021, the value of total exports of goods increased by 26.7% year-on-year, and the value of imports of goods increased by 25.5% year-on-year.

A spokesperson for the SAR government said that with the recovery of the global economy, commodity exports continued to grow in October. Exports to the Mainland, the United States and the European Union have all increased significantly, and exports to other major Asian markets have also shown different degrees of increase.
