Hugs and screams: The moment medical students find out that college will be free

The announcement of the donor and former teacher: “No tuition” thanks to a donation of 1 billion dollars

«I am happy to share with you that from August this year the Albert Einstein College of Medicine will be free, with no tuition to pay». This is the moment US medical students found out their schooling will be free thanks to a $1 billion donation. This was announced by the donor herself, Ruth Gottesman, a former professor of the College. In the video, medical students can be seen hugging each other and celebrating the news. The college is located in the Bronx, one of the poorest neighborhoods in New York. Tuition is approximately $59,000 per year, and Professor Grottesman’s donation is the most generous ever made to a medical college in the United States.
