Hundreds of thousands of people in the streets in Madrid against Isabel Ayuso’s cuts to healthcare

Thousands of Spanish public health workers and their supporters demonstrated today to demand more primary health workers and to denounce the progressive dismantling of the public health system in favor of the private by the conservative regional government of Madrid. The protest in the Spanish capital, nicknamed “the white tide” because of the white coats worn by many demonstrators, took place under the slogan “Madrid rises for public health“.
