Feher’s guilt in the case of the murder of the breeder Iranzo was declared by the popular jury by unanimous vote. In the case of Civil Guard agents Víctor Romero and Víctor Jesús Caballero, the vote in favor of the guilty plea was cast by seven of the nine members. The prosecution and the civil parties have asked for the maximum possible sentence in Spain, where there is no life sentence. The accused had admitted to the murder of Iranzo, while he stated that he shot Guardia Civil agents Romero and Caballero in self-defense. Feher is currently serving a 21-year sentence for a double assassination attempt, crimes committed in the same area of Spain just days before the killings of Iranzo, Romero and Caballero.

Igor the Russian, 40, was actually born in Serbia. He has already been sentenced on appeal to life imprisonment in Italy, for a double murder that took place months before the Aragonese case. Igor was the target of a massive manhunt in the Emilian countryside, but managed to escape the Italian police forces and then took refuge in Spain, where he was arrested following the triple murder of Iranzo, Romero and Caballero.
