ISTANBUL – In the family shop he has been running for thirty years, Metin has begun to change the price tags every week. “A kilo of lentils a year ago cost 8 lire, today 20, who knows how much it will cost tomorrow”, he says, touching his head as if to find the solution to a complicated puzzle.
Metin lives in Kasimpasa, a working class neighborhood on the European side of Istanbul.
