NEW YORK – America’s cultural history is in danger of going under water. This is the alarm raised by the Smithsonian, the institution that is divided into a series of museums ranging from natural sciences to space, passing through American history: 11 buildings built in the Mall, the heart of Washington between the Capitol and the White House, right next to the first nucleus called “The Castle”, today the headquarters of the entire network, erected in 1849.
