CHENNAI – In Glasgow, India made the figure of the largest polluter in the world, announcing that it will reach zero emissions only in 2070, after Europe, the USA and China. But in the meantime, pending the approval of the Supreme Court for a total confinement, the capital Delhi is now sinking into a semi-lockdown imposed by pollution that kills more than a million Indian victims every year with respiratory diseases, pulmonary complications , heart attacks, diabetes and childhood diseases triggered by that great cloud of asphyxiating poison floating in the air, blocked by the Himalayan range.
