Interim KPU Results: AMIN Wins 58 Percent in West Sumatra

Liputan6.com, Padang – Pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) received the highest vote in West Sumatra, namely 58 percent. This data is the result of the preliminary vote count by the General Election Commission (KPU) as of Thursday (15/2/2024) at 09.00 WIB.

The preliminary vote count results for the 2024 Presidential Election by the KPU are still ongoing and updated via the website pemilu2024.kpu.go.id.

From this page, the votes obtained by pair number 1 in West Sumatra were 58.12 percent or 216,728 votes. Meanwhile, pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka received 37.42 percent or 139,532 votes.

Then pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD won 4.47 percent of the vote or 16,657 votes in West Sumatra.

As of Thursday (15/2/2024) at 9.00 WIB, the total data entered was 42.31 percent or 7,433 TPS out of 17,569 TPS.

Temporary data shows that Padang City was the largest region that voted for candidate number 01 Anies-Muhaimin, namely 39,225 voters, followed by Agam Regency with 23,988 voters.

Then the voters for serial number 02 were also from Padang City, namely 21,047 voters, followed by the Limapuluh Kota Regency area, namely 12,835 voters.

Then pair number 03 had the most voters in West Pasaman Regency with 3,713 voters, followed by Dharmasraya Regency with 2,506 voters.

However, what is interesting is that Prabowo-Gibran’s votes are superior in Dharmasraya Regency, which is the vote base for PDIP in the 2019 presidential election in West Sumatra.
