by admin

Stag Hollow is a small family winery located in Oregon, USA. In 1995, Jill Zarnowitz and Mark Huff established the Bucks Winery. Currently, Mark is responsible for the winemaking work. The winery’s vinification philosophy is to minimize human intervention in the process of viticulture and winemaking, and to produce wines that reflect the characteristics of the terroir of the production area. Bucks Winery’s vineyards are located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA (Yamhill-Carlton AVA) in the north of the Willamette Valley, covering an area of 34 acres. The garden mainly grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Dolcetto, Early Muscat, Muscat Ottonel and Tempranillo, etc. A variety of grape varieties. Among them, Pinot Noir is planted on a gentle south-facing slope with a planting density of 3,000 plants per acre. Pinot Noir includes 9 different cloned varieties, 5 of which are from Dijon, France. The vineyard uses biological agents and mineral oil to fight against pests and diseases, and regularly thins flowers and fruits to control the yield of Pinot Noir between 2.0 and 2.5 tons per mu. The vineyard has a 10-acre wildlife sanctuary, which helps maintain biodiversity and improve water quality. When the grapes are ripe, the vineyard uses manual methods to pick grapes. The harvested grapes are soaked in low temperature for 2 to 5 days, and then the whole bunch is fermented. The fermented wine is aged for 10 to 12 months in 20% to 30% new French oak barrels. The wine is not filtered and clarified before bottling, and it still needs to be stored for 12 months before being marketed after bottling. Bucks Winery has launched a variety of wines such as Vendange Selection Pinot Noir (Vendange Selection Pinot Noir), Collection Pinot Noir, Collection 777/114 Pinot Noir, Multi-Peach and Moscato.
