Telecommunications infrastructure as a service for the exhibition centers of Rho and Milan

INWITthe first Italian tower operator e Milan fairleader in Italy and one of the main integrated operators in the world in the exhibition and conference sector, have approved a strategic partnership that will create exhibition centers in Rho and Milan a true “Smart City”.

The agreement, lasting 15 years, will provide for INWIT the exclusive management and technological development of all passive infrastructures supporting mobile telecommunications of the exhibition center in Rho and ofllianz MiCo in Milan, for a total surface area of ​​over 551,000 m2.

INWIT will enable both indoor and outdoor connectivity serving all mobile telecommunications operators through the integrated management of existing structures: mobile telecommunications towers, Distributed Antenna System (DAS), Small Cells and optical fiber.

The agreement provides further investments in dedicated indoor DAS coverage for the upgrade to 5G.

Exhibitors and visitors will thus be able to benefit from optimal levels of mobile coverage and increasingly innovative services for logistics, home automation, security and environmental monitoring.

The partnership, which enables the possibility of offering high technological level services, would also allow us to seize important opportunities for Fiera Milano Group in anticipation of future Olympic Games.

The agreement is consistent with INWIT’s business plan, which includes investments aimed at enabling the growing demand for digital infrastructures even in ‘large campuses’, to support electronic communications operators, with optimization of financial resources, operational efficiency and management simplification .
