Jafar Panahithe dissident Iranian director who won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2000 for the film The circlewas arrested in Tehran where he participated in the protest to demand the release of his colleagues, Mohammad Rasoulof e Mostafa Aleahmad, arrested last weekend. The news was released by the Iranian news agency Mehr. “Jafar Panahi was arrested today in Tehran, where he went to the prosecutor’s office for the case of another director, Mohammad Rasoulof,” detained since Friday 8 July.
