Iran, formal charges against rapper Toomaj Salehi: he risks the death penalty

TEHRAN – The reasons for the arrest and the charges against the have been formalised Iranian rapper Toomaj Salehiwho was arrested in late October for his support of ongoing anti-system protests in Iran, sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody for improper dress. This was communicated by the head of the justice department of the state of Isfahan, Jafari, who however specified that “no court hearing has yet been held for him”.
