In Iran, the dissident rapper was arrested Toomaj Salehi, who in some of his recent songs has mocked the policies of the Islamic Republic and denounced the corruption within the regime.
The young man, very popular among Iranian social media users, was arrested on 13 September: the security forces ransacked his home in Isfahan, they ransacked him. arrested and taken to an unknown place. It was Salehi’s uncle, Eghbal Eghbali, who announced his arrest on Instagram: “They arrested my nephew. The Islamic government cannot stand the voice of protest of young dissidents. We will not remain indifferent to this ignoble action”.
Among his protest raps “Normal Life”, “Turkmenchay” and “Mouse Hole”. In the latter (probably the one that triggered the arrest) Toomaj Salehi puts the Islamic Republic, its supporters abroad and those who, in his opinion, ignore the oppression of the Iranian people on the index.
