Four months to convince the Israelis that the role of prime minister belongs to them. As per the coalition agreement, Yair Lapid, leader of the centrist formation Yesh Atid (There is a future), took office as interim prime minister of the Jewish state. He will hold his position until the new elections, set for November 1st, or, more precisely, until a new majority is able to express a government.
