– Troms police district has identified the deceased and next of kin have been notified. There is no final autopsy report, but the cause of death is stated to be drowning, the police said in a press release on Monday afternoon.

Solovjovs was reported missing to the police following a report of a man overboard on a vessel fishing for crab off Svalbard on 30 January 2023.

His body was found by the Lerøy trawler “Kongsfjord” while fishing on 12 April. The trawler went ashore immediately after the discovery.
