As the Olympics approaches, Japan requires no more than 3,400 visitors to Japan in a single week
CCTV News reported on the 16th that the Japanese government has asked air operators to suspend part of the air ticket booking service for ordinary people to Japan to ensure that the new crown virus detection and border control work can be carried out in an orderly manner after the Olympic delegations from various countries arrive in Japan.
According to multiple sources, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan has asked airlines to stop accepting new orders for flights during peak hours from 11 to 22 of this month, involving flights arriving at five domestic airports in Japan from abroad. The airports involved are Tokyo Haneda Airport, Narita International Airport in Chiba Prefecture, Chubu International Airport in Aichi Prefecture, Kansai International Airport in Osaka Prefecture, and Fukuoka Airport in the southwest.
In order to strengthen the prevention and control of the border epidemic, the Japanese government plans to set the upper limit of the average daily entry to 2,000 people. The Japanese government requires foreign airlines to limit the number of passengers on flights to Japan to 40 or less, except for Olympic-related flights and transits in Japan, until the end of August. For Japanese airlines, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism requires them to limit the number of passengers to Japan in a single week to no more than 3,400.
