Johansson: “Europe will block departures from Libya and Tunisia”

ROME – “We are already talking with the Libyan authorities and with the interim government of Abdel Hamid Dbeibah there are positive feedback and opportunities, I am ready to commit myself to explore the possibility of closing a new agreement with Libya without waiting for the December elections” . It is the first time that a European leader has talked about negotiations with the new Tripoli government to put an end to the uncontrolled, and often fatal, departures of migrants to Lampedusa.
