Kaliningrad, the former Prussian capital is the new Russian supermissile fortress

For seven centuries it has been the fortress: the symbol of the clash between West and East. It was once Königsberg, a turreted manor of the Teutonic knights engaged in the crusade against the Slavs and then the capital of Prussia. Today is Kaliningrad, the russian enclave nestled between Poland and the Baltic countries that threatens NATO with its triple phalanx of missiles, evoked yesterday by the Kremlin: nuclear weapons aimed at Berlin, Stockholm, Helsinki, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Riga and Vilnius.
