After the outbreak of violence last Thursday a Beirut, when seven Shia protesters were killed by Christian snipers as they marched towards a courthouse, the political confrontation between Amal ed Hezbollah on the one hand and the Christian parties and part of the government led by the Sunni prime minister Najib Mikati to the other.
This morning in Beirut a video sparked a controversy which is a further symptom of the very strong tensions in Lebanese society: in the video we see Ibrahim Hotel, spokesperson for the families of the victims of the port explosion on 4 August 2020.
