Jamie Spears is no longer the legal guardian of his daughter Britney: this was decided by the judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles Brenda Penny. The decision marks a victory for the pop star who today, through her lawyer Matthew Rosengart, had asked for the immediate suspension of her father from the role of guardian of all her assets. In place of Jamie, Penny has appointed auditor John Zabel as temporary guardian of Britney’s assets.

The pop star did not personally attend the hearing. Jamie Spears had asked for the overall revocation of the institution of the custodianship to which Britney has been subject since 2008.
