LONDON. A woman wearing a T-shirt with the print of Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical weekly attacked on 7 January 2015 by Islamic terrorists, was stabbed yesterday at the “Speakers Corner” in Hyde Park. A video shows a group of people gathered in the historic site of the London park, where debates and public speeches have been held for 150 years, and a man dressed in black rushing at the woman to stab her.
The attacker, pursued by some people, managed to escape. According to the note from the London Metropolitan Police, the 39-year-old woman was shot in the head: “She was treated on the spot before being taken to hospital and is not life threatening.” The knife with which the victim was attacked was found in the vicinity of the place.
