At least one person was killed and others were injured in a shooting on the campus of a Louisiana university during a homecoming event, the start of the football season.
“At the time of the accident, the homecoming party was underway in the McCall Dining Center, all the people took cover and then left when the all-clear from the University police was given,” he told CNN. Grambling State University spokesperson Tisha Arnold, specifying that a suspect in the shooting has not yet been identified.
According to the spokesman, the shooting took place in the central area of the campus, the so-called “quad”, between one and two in the morning. The university has suspended the other events scheduled today for homecoiming and canceled tomorrow’s lessons, while police investigations continue to determine the dynamics of the facts.
