MC Daleste: documentary reveals information about the funk player’s death

The documentary premiered this Friday (11th) “MC Daleste – They Killed Poor Loco”, on Globoplay. Almost 11 years after the funk singer’s death, the crime remains unsolved, as those responsible for the murder of Daniel Pellegrini were never discovered.

However, through four episodes, the documentary series reveals two new witnesses who were not heard by the investigation at the time the crime occurred.

Rebuilding the life of Dalesthe documentary shows images of the house where the artist grew up, as well as the school where he spent much of his time composing the songs that propelled him to fame.

The production also features testimonials from friends, former partners, artists such as Gloria Groove, MC Livinho, MC Harielin addition to reports from Daniel’s sister, Carolina Sena Pellegrini.

According to her, MC Daleste already stated that he would die that way. Since the day she watched the series “The Mermaid Song” — in which the character of Isis Valverde is murdered during a show — even before his fame, the artist commented that he would die the same way.
