Media: Ankara postpones negotiations for Sweden and Finland in NATO indefinitely

The negotiations between Turkey, Sweden and Finland on NATO membership have been postponed indefinitely at Ankara’s request: a source told the Russian agency Ria Novosti and the Turkish state TV Trt also reported it. “At our request, the tripartite mechanism between Turkey, Sweden and Finland has been canceled indefinitely,” the Turks said. According to the source, the next meeting was to be held in Brussels in February.
