Russia challenges the US again with a new and broad cyber attack on government, corporate and think tank computer networks, a few months after the summit between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin and the US sanctions against Moscow for a series of similar operations that have also affected other countries. This was announced by Microsoft executives and cyber security experts, as reported by the US media, according to which the SVR, the Russian foreign secret services, the same ones who hacked the dem party in the 2016 elections, would be behind it.

The Russians who were behind the vast cyberattack called SolarWinds last year targeted hundreds of companies and organizations, writes in a Microsoft post that states how Nobelium’s latest wave of attacks targeted “resellers and other service providers” cloud services.

These attacks are part of a larger campaign that has continued throughout the summer, Microsoft always points out, adding that its 609 customers between July 1 and October 19 were informed that they had been attacked.
