The Mexican State Attorney’s Office of Chiapas announced that five employees of the National Electoral Institute (Ine) who were transporting material for the polling stations of the municipality of Pueblo Nuevo Solistahuacán were shot dead in the night between Saturday and yesterday. The weekly Proceso writes it.

In its online portal, the newspaper states that in an emergency the five were trying to transport an injured seat president to a local hospital when they were attacked by a commando armed with rifles and machine guns who fired madly at them.

The corpses of the five, four men and one woman, finally reported the prosecutor, were found next to the van that fell into the bottom of an escarpment.
