Over 900 migrants have landed on the Canary Islands in the past three days, according to data provided by the Spanish emergency services and those reported by the Efe news agency. The last reported arrivals took place during the night in the islands of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
Among the people assisted there were also 19 minors, of which two were only a few months old. Both were taken to hospital for “mild illness”, according to the Canary Regional Emergency Service.
From the beginning of the year to November 14, 18,021 arrivals of migrants were recorded on this archipelago, according to the latest available data from the Spanish Ministry of the Interior.
