LONDRA – The war in Ukraine has restored unity to the West: the response of the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and other allied countries has been determined and united. In spite of some differences, the sanctions against Russia for the invasion and military aid to the Kiev government have not produced conflicts. On the contrary, the free and democratic world has rediscovered a collective identity that seemed to have weakened in previous years, amid nationalist pressures and the American disengagement of the Trump presidency.
