ROMA – Completing a work that had been in progress for months, the Council of Ministers today ratified some appointments of ambassadors in 19 foreign locations. Maurizio Massari, ambassador to the European Union, will move to New York as the Italian representative at the United Nations. Coming from Tokyo, Giorgio Starace instead he will be the new ambassador in Moscow, where he will take up service in 5 months instead of Pasquale Terracciano who becomes a councilor of state.

The Council of Ministers then appointed other representatives in some important fora. He was commissioned for the Buenos Aires office Fabrizio Lucentini. He is sent to Abidjan (Ivory Coast) Arturo Luzzi. Sergio Barbanti from Vienna he became Italy’s ambassador to Israel, in Tel Aviv. In Singapore the ambassador will be Mario Vattani, while in Manila in the Philippines he takes over Marco Clemente. He is leaving for Santo Domingo Stefano Queirolo Palmas.
