«Mr President, I would like to take a photo with you»: street artist Jorit meets Putin

«If it is possible, Mr President, I would like to take a photo with you to demonstrate to Italy that you are real and human like all of us. Propaganda says things that are not true. In reality we are all people, normal people”: this is how the Italian street artist Jorit, stage name of Ciro Cerullo, asks Putin for a photo, during the International Youth Forum underway in Sochi.
Russian President Vladimir Putin agrees and jokes: “Of course, but won’t he pinch me to make sure I’m real?”
Then Jorit reaches the stage, takes a photo with the Kremlin chief and shakes his hand.
It is the second time in about two weeks that Putin has underlined the closeness between the two countries, as he did on February 20 in a conversation during a forum in Moscow with the student Irene Cecchini.
